What is different about building software in the UAE
Aranv builds custom software, AI agents and business systems for companies in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and across the UAE. We work with you online, and plan each project around the rules that apply where you are registered: mainland, DIFC or ADGM.
E-invoicing is the deadline on most finance teams’ minds. The Federal Tax Authority says businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more must appoint an Accredited Service Provider by October 30, 2026 and implement the system by January 1, 2027. Businesses below that have until March 31, 2027 to appoint a provider and July 1, 2027 to implement it.
Where you are registered also changes the rules. DIFC in Dubai and ADGM in Abu Dhabi are separate legal systems with their own data regulators, so two companies in the same city can answer to different laws. Our guide to Gulf data and AI laws sets out the differences. It is general information, so please confirm what applies with your lawyer.
How a UAE project starts
Start with what has a date on it
- 01 Tell us the pressure An e-invoicing deadline, a slow manual process or a product idea.
- 02 Check where you are registered Mainland, DIFC or ADGM changes which data rules apply.
- 03 You approve the plan Scope, budget and milestones agreed before work starts.
- 04 We build and support Regular demos, a careful go-live and support afterwards.
Meetings run online, with times shown in your own time zone.
What we build for UAE companies
Most projects start from a date that can’t move or a process that has outgrown its spreadsheets.
-

E-invoicing ready systems
Your ERP or billing system sends structured invoices through an accredited provider, instead of PDFs that no longer count.
-

Arabic and English software
Customer apps, portals and internal tools that work in both languages, including right-to-left screens.
-

AI for documents and customer service
Assistants for email, web chat and WhatsApp, and document reading tested on your own Arabic and English files, with a person checking what matters.
-

ERP and system integration
Odoo and custom ERP work that connects your accounting, stock and sales, so the numbers agree.
UAE e-invoicing
Invoices have to leave your system as structured data, through an Accredited Service Provider. A scanned copy or an emailed PDF does not count as an e-invoice, and that often means real changes to an older ERP or billing tool.
What we do
- Map your ERP or billing data to the UAE data dictionary
- Connect to the accredited provider you appoint
- Handle credit notes and rejected invoices without re-keying
- Test with your real invoices well before your go-live date
Mainland, DIFC and ADGM data rules
A company on mainland Dubai generally falls under the federal data law. One in DIFC or ADGM answers to its own regulator, and sending data from ADGM to onshore UAE counts as a transfer out. That shapes where data sits and how your systems connect.
What we do
- Note which rules each of your companies falls under, with your lawyer
- Plan hosting and data flows to match
- Keep health data in the UAE where the rules require it
- Build AI systems so they can show how personal data is used, which DIFC’s Regulation 10 asks for
How we approach a project
Our offices are in Cary, North Carolina and Canton, Michigan, and we work with UAE companies online. Book a meeting below, or send a short note about what you need. A rough description is enough to start.
How we work
- Mainland, DIFC and ADGM aware
- English and Arabic
- Support after launch
-
Your go-live date
If e-invoicing is the driver, work back from your date, and leave time to test with your provider.
-
Which company, which regulator
Groups often span mainland and free zones. List them first, because it decides where data can go.
-
Which languages
Arabic and English are cheaper to plan from the first screen than to add later.
-
Who approves what
Agree who signs off each release, and who reviews what an AI system produces.
Good places to start
Trading and distribution
When orders, stock and invoices live in separate tools, e-invoicing exposes every gap. Connecting them first makes the deadline easier and the numbers more trustworthy.
Hospitality and retail
Customers ask the same questions by WhatsApp and web chat, in Arabic and English. An assistant that handles the routine ones and hands off the rest is a contained first project.
Firms in DIFC and ADGM
Client files, approvals and reporting often run on email. Start with one document type, with access limits and a person approving every output.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi FAQs
-
Do you have an office in Dubai or Abu Dhabi?
Not today. Our offices are in Cary, North Carolina and Canton, Michigan, and we work with Gulf companies online. If a local company, a local contract or on-site work matters for your project, tell us at the start, so we can say plainly whether we can meet it.
-
When does UAE e-invoicing start?
The Federal Tax Authority says businesses with annual revenue of AED 50 million or more must implement it by January 1, 2027, and other businesses by July 1, 2027, with a provider appointed earlier. Check the Authority’s site for your own case, because dates and rules can change.
-
Is a DIFC or ADGM company under the federal data law?
Generally, those companies follow their own zone’s data rules instead, each with its own regulator. Groups with companies in several places may need to follow more than one set of rules, so confirm the details with your lawyer.
-
Can you build in Arabic and English?
Yes. We plan both languages from the start, including right-to-left screens, and test AI features on your own Arabic and English examples.
-
How do meetings work across time zones?
The calendar shows meeting times in your own time zone. At the start of a project we agree regular meeting times and how quickly we respond, around your working week.
-
What do you need from us for a first estimate?
A short note on the problem, who would use the result and any date you have to meet. After a brief discovery, we reply with a written plan covering priorities, milestones and cost.
