What AWS development services include
Aranv offers AWS development services to US companies with growing software needs. We design, build and run applications, APIs and data workloads on Amazon Web Services, set up accounts, access and cost alerts properly, and add AI features through Amazon Bedrock where they fit the work.
AWS has a service for almost every job, which makes it easy to build something hard to run. Our AWS consulting picks the fewest services that do the work, usually Lambda or ECS, RDS or DynamoDB, S3 and CloudFront, and writes the choice down with a monthly cost estimate.
Accounts and security come first. We use AWS Organizations to keep production apart from testing, IAM Identity Center for staff sign-in, narrow roles for each service, encryption on databases and buckets, and CloudTrail logs. Infrastructure is defined in Terraform or the AWS CDK, and releases run through the pipelines described on our DevOps services page.
How an AWS build comes together
From an empty account to a running app
- 01 Set up the accounts Separate production and test accounts, single sign-on and billing alerts come first.
- 02 Pick the services Lambda, containers or EC2, chosen per workload with a monthly cost estimate.
- 03 Define it as code Every bucket, database and role lives in templates stored in Git.
- 04 Watch cost and health CloudWatch alarms and tagged billing show what each system costs to run.
Everything is created in an AWS account that your business owns.
What we build on AWS
Most AWS projects we take on fall into four groups.
Serverless business apps
Order intake, approval flows and scheduled jobs built on Lambda, API Gateway and DynamoDB, so you pay per request instead of for idle servers.
Containerized web platforms
Customer portals and SaaS products on ECS with Fargate behind a load balancer, with RDS for the database and blue-green releases.
Data lakes and reporting
Exports from your ERP, CRM and store land in S3, get cataloged with Glue and are queried in Athena or loaded into a warehouse for dashboards.
Amazon Bedrock AI features
Document summaries, email drafts and answers over your files from foundation models in Amazon Bedrock, with access controlled by the same IAM roles as the rest of your setup.
AWS application development, from API to release
We build the application, not only the infrastructure around it. A typical stack is a Python or Node.js API on Lambda or ECS, a React front end on S3 and CloudFront, PostgreSQL on RDS or Aurora, and SQS queues so slow tasks never hold up a user.
What we do
- API design and build
- RDS or Aurora data model
- SQS and EventBridge background jobs
- Cognito or single sign-on login
- CloudFront and S3 front end
- Automated deploys from Git
AI on AWS with Amazon Bedrock
When a task involves reading, summarizing or answering questions, we add a Bedrock model call to the app you already run on AWS. Source documents stay in your S3 buckets, embeddings go into a vector index, and each model request is logged for staff review.
What we do
- Model choice tested on your examples
- Retrieval over S3 documents
- Bedrock Guardrails for blocked topics
- Request logging and cost alarms
- Human review for unsure answers
How we approach a project
Many projects begin with something already on AWS: an EC2 instance nobody has patched in years, a Lambda runtime near deprecation, or a bill that grew without a clear reason. We upgrade runtimes and databases in place where possible, and bring workloads over from other hosts through our cloud migration work.
For AI, Amazon Bedrock offers foundation models from several providers through one API, and IAM decides which services may call them. Our Amazon Bedrock development page covers that work in depth.
AWS work sits inside our cloud computing services, next to Azure and Google Cloud. If your staff already live in Microsoft 365, compare Azure development before deciding.
How we work
- Your account, your data, your keys
- Managed services before servers to patch
- A cost estimate before every build
Our Process
-
Review accounts and workloads
We look at what already runs, who has access, what it costs and what must stay online.
-
Design and estimate
A short architecture note names each service, the network layout, the backup plan and the expected monthly bill.
-
Build in your account
Templates and application code go through pull requests, with a demo of working features every week or two.
-
Launch and resize
After go-live we watch CloudWatch metrics and the bill, then shrink anything oversized.
Why Aranv for AWS work
The account belongs to you
We build inside an AWS Organization your business owns, with the root user and billing under your control. If you change suppliers, nothing has to be transferred or rebuilt.
Costs explained before they happen
Each design comes with an estimate from the AWS Pricing Calculator, plus resource tags by system and budget alarms, so you can see which system each dollar of the bill goes to.
Fewer moving parts
We prefer managed services such as RDS, Fargate and Lambda over servers your team must patch, and we say so when one plain virtual machine is the cheaper answer.
Templates, not console clicks
Infrastructure is written in Terraform or the CDK and reviewed like code, so test and production match and any environment can be rebuilt from the repository.

AWS development FAQs
-
How much do AWS development services cost?
There are two parts: the build and the monthly AWS bill. The build depends on screens, integrations and data sources. The bill depends on traffic, storage and the services chosen. We estimate both during discovery, so you can compare designs before committing to one.
-
Should we choose AWS, Azure or Google Cloud?
Pick the cloud your team and tools already lean toward. Firms on Microsoft 365 and SQL Server often find Azure simpler, AWS has the widest range of managed services, and Google Cloud suits teams centered on BigQuery.
-
What does AWS consulting cover if we already have an account?
We review access, security settings, backups and the bill, then write a ranked list of fixes. Frequent findings include daily use of the root user, public S3 buckets, unpatched EC2 instances and missing budget alerts.
-
Is Lambda or a container better for our app on AWS?
Lambda suits spiky or scheduled work and small APIs, because you pay only while code runs. Containers on ECS with Fargate suit steady traffic, long-running processes and apps already packaged in Docker. Plenty of systems use both: containers for the main app, Lambda for background tasks.
-
Can you add generative AI to an app already running on AWS?
Yes. Bedrock models can be called from the Lambda or ECS code you already run, with IAM roles controlling access. We start with one task, test answers against real examples from your staff, and add logging and a review step before wider rollout.
