What a dedicated development team includes
Aranv sets up a dedicated development team for small and midsize companies that need steady engineering capacity: developers, QA and a delivery lead who work only on your product, take direction from your priorities and grow or shrink as the roadmap changes.
A dedicated team is a group of engineers assigned full time to your product on a monthly basis, instead of a fixed-scope project with an end date. You decide what they build each sprint. Recruiting, payroll and equipment stay with us, and how holidays and absences are covered is agreed before the team starts.
How the team is set up. We start from your backlog and the people you already have, and write role profiles together: frameworks, seniority, overlapping hours and any domain knowledge the work needs, such as ERP data or payments. You interview the shortlist, and nobody joins without your approval.
How a dedicated team is formed
From role list to working sprints
- 01 Define the roles Skills, seniority, overlapping hours and the work planned for the first quarter.
- 02 Meet and approve people You interview each proposed engineer and decide who joins.
- 03 Onboard into your tools Access to your repository, tracker and chat, plus a guided tour of the codebase.
- 04 Review and resize Sprint reviews show output; roles are added or released with agreed notice.
Team size and mix follow the backlog, not a fixed package.
When companies hire dedicated developers
A dedicated team suits ongoing product work where the backlog is long and priorities shift from month to month.
Staff augmentation
Engineers who join your standups, pick tickets from your board and follow your code review rules.
A complete product team
A delivery lead, developers, QA and design for a company that has no engineering department of its own.
Taking over a product
When a previous vendor or freelancer leaves, the team documents the code and keeps releases going.
Specialists for one phase
AI, mobile or Odoo engineers for a set period, released once that part of the roadmap ships.
AI engineers inside your team
A dedicated team can include engineers who add AI to your product: a support assistant that answers from your help content, document reading in an intake flow, or search that understands plain questions. They work in the same sprints as everyone else, with a test set and cost tracking for each AI feature.
What we do
- LLM features built into your product
- Test sets for each AI feature
- Model usage cost per feature
- Prompt changes reviewed like code
- Short-term AI roles for one phase
What the delivery lead does each week
The delivery lead is the person you call. Each week they plan the sprint with your product owner, keep the board accurate, raise blockers early and send a short note on what shipped, what is stuck and what comes next.
What we do
- Sprint planning with your product owner
- Weekly shipped and blocked note
- Risk list kept current
- Escalation point for your managers
- Release notes for each deploy
How we approach a project
How the team is managed. Engineers work in your repositories and tracker, so every commit and ticket is visible to you. Code review and our QA and software testing practices apply from the first sprint.
How the team scales. Adding a role repeats the profile and interview steps. Releasing one follows an agreed notice period and a written handover. A common path is to start small with an MVP, grow once the product has users, then move to a lighter maintenance and support plan.
Our people work from across the US and our wider group, with US offices in Cary, NC and Canton, MI. Unlike an anonymous offshore development team, you get named engineers, a US company on the contract and hours planned around yours. See how we work for engagement options and security, NDA and IP for confidentiality and code ownership.
How we work
- You approve every team member
- One accountable delivery lead
- Work lives in your repositories
Our Process
-
Backlog and role review
We read your roadmap and code, then propose the smallest team that can move it forward.
-
Shortlist and interviews
You question proposed engineers on your own technical topics and approve each person.
-
Onboarding sprint
Access, an architecture walkthrough and a batch of small tickets to settle pace and code style.
-
Monthly team review
Each month we look at output, quality and team mix with you, and change roles if needed.
Why Aranv for a dedicated team
You choose every engineer
Each proposed person is interviewed by you on your own technical topics, and nobody joins or replaces a team member without your approval.
Progress you can check yourself
Commits, tickets and reviews sit in your repository and tracker, so you can see the work at any time instead of relying on a status report.
Handover in every role change
Documentation and knowledge transfer are part of releasing or replacing anyone, so a change in the team or a move in-house leaves no gaps.
Team size follows the roadmap
Roles are added for a busy quarter and released after it with agreed notice, so you pay for the capacity the backlog needs rather than a fixed headcount.

Dedicated team FAQs
-
How much does it cost to hire dedicated developers?
The monthly cost depends on headcount, seniority, the skills involved and how many hours must overlap with your day. After reviewing your backlog we give a written estimate per role, so you can compare it with the full cost of hiring in-house.
-
What is the difference between staff augmentation and a dedicated team?
Staff augmentation adds individual engineers to a team you already manage, and your own lead directs them. A dedicated team brings its own delivery lead, QA and routines, and takes responsibility for delivery against your priorities.
-
How quickly can a dedicated team start?
It depends on the roles. Where the skills match people already in our team, onboarding can begin soon after you approve the shortlist; rare skills take longer to find. You get a start date for each role before you sign.
-
Do the developers work only on our project?
Yes. Members of a dedicated team are assigned to your product full time, unless you agree a part-time role for a specialist. If someone leaves, we introduce a replacement for your approval and cover the handover.
-
Is a dedicated team better than an offshore development team?
It depends on the work. Our people are in the US and our wider group, so you get overlap with US business hours and engineers you have met. Low-cost offshore vendors can suit fixed, fully specified tasks; a dedicated team suits a product that changes week to week.
-
Who owns the code the team writes?
Ownership is written into the contract and agreed before work begins. We recommend the team commits to repositories your company controls, so the code sits with you from the first day.
