On-Demand App Development

The three apps behind every order

Aranv brand pattern

What on-demand app development includes

Aranv handles on-demand app development for US service and delivery businesses: a customer app to request a job, a provider or driver app to accept and complete it, and an admin dashboard for dispatch, pricing, payouts and support.

Every on-demand product is really three apps: one for customers, one for the people doing the work, and a web dashboard for your staff. They share one order record, so a status change made by a driver reaches the customer and the dispatcher at the same moment. Our mobile app development team usually builds both phone apps from one cross-platform codebase.

Location needs care. Google Play reviews apps that ask for background location, Apple requires a plain-language purpose string, and recent Android versions send users to a settings page to allow it. The driver app explains why it needs location and stops tracking when the shift ends. For multi-stop work, our AI route optimization page covers stop order and arrival estimates.

Request, dispatch, track, pay

The three apps behind every order

  1. 01 Customer requests a job A customer picks a service or items, an address and a time, then confirms the price.
  2. 02 Dispatch finds a provider Rules or AI pick a nearby available provider with the right skills or vehicle.
  3. 03 Live tracking and updates Both sides see status and location until the job is done or delivered.
  4. 04 Payment, rating, payout The card is charged, the provider is rated, and earnings land in the payout report.

The admin dashboard sits behind all three steps, so staff can reassign, refund or contact anyone mid-job.

Service booking and delivery apps we build

On-demand apps differ most in what moves: a person to a home, goods to a door, or a vehicle to a pickup point.

Customers book cleaning, repairs or lawn care for now or later, upload photos of the problem, and watch the technician’s arrival window update.

Orders from your store or kitchen are batched, assigned to drivers and tracked to the door, with photo proof of delivery and drop-off notes.

Providers set their hours, accept or decline jobs, follow directions, collect signatures and see their earnings by day and week.

AI dispatch and support

AI suggests the best provider for each job from distance, skills and workload, estimates arrival times, and answers routine where-is-my-order questions before they reach staff.

Delivery app development with live tracking

Delivery apps depend on accurate location data. We build driver apps that share location only while a job is active, explain the permission in plain words and keep working on a weak signal. Customers see an arrival estimate that updates, and staff see every driver on one map.

What we do

  • Driver app for iOS and Android
  • Live map for dispatchers
  • Photo and signature proof of delivery
  • Batched and multi-stop routes
  • Tracking links sent by SMS

Admin dashboard for dispatch and payouts

Operators need to see the whole day at once. The admin dashboard shows open, assigned and late jobs, lets staff reassign with a click, sets zone or time-based pricing, issues refunds, and prepares provider payouts with fees and tips broken out.

What we do

  • Live job board by status
  • Zone and time-based pricing
  • Refunds and account credits
  • Provider payout reports
  • Ratings and complaint review

How we approach a project

Payments run through a provider such as Stripe: the card is authorized at booking, the final amount is charged when the job closes, and tips and payouts to independent providers use its platform features. Our payment gateway integration page explains the setup. If your crews are employees with vans and work orders rather than gig workers, field service software may suit you better.

How we work

  • Three apps, one shared order record
  • Dispatch rules your team can adjust
  • Location used only during jobs

Our Process

  • Step 1: Trace one order end to end

Trace one order end to end

We follow a single job from request to payout and list who touches it, what they see and what can go wrong.

  • Step 2: Prototype all three apps together

    Prototype all three apps together

Customer, provider and admin screens are clicked through side by side, so the handoffs between them are tested before development.

  • Step 3: Build in a pilot area

    Build in a pilot area

We develop against one service area with real addresses, test dispatch rules with your staff, and close the gaps they find.

  • Step 4: Store review and rollout

    Store review and rollout

Apps go through Apple and Google review, providers are onboarded in small groups, and late or canceled jobs are reviewed weekly.

Why Aranv for on-demand apps

One order record everywhere

All three apps read and write the same order, so nobody works from an old status or a screenshot passed around by text.

Location handled with restraint

Driver apps track only during active jobs, explain the permission clearly, and keep location history only as long as your policy allows.

Dispatch you can inspect

Each automatic assignment records why that provider was chosen, so dispatchers can check the logic and adjust the rules themselves.

Ready for app store review

Privacy labels, permission wording and test accounts for Apple and Google review are prepared during the build, not in launch week.

Let’s Talk

On-demand app questions

  • What affects the budget for an on-demand app?

The number of apps, live tracking, dispatch logic, payment and payout rules, and links to your POS or inventory. Our written estimate splits the work into stages, letting ordering and tracking go live in one area before scheduled orders or loyalty features.

  • Do we need separate apps for customers and drivers?

Usually, yes. Customers and providers need different screens, permissions and alerts, and separate apps keep each one simple. Some businesses start providers on a mobile web app and add a native provider app later.

  • How does live tracking work in a delivery app?

While a job is active, the driver app reads the phone’s location and sends it to your server every few seconds. The customer’s app or tracking link shows the driver on a map with a refreshed arrival estimate, and tracking stops when the job closes.

  • Can AI handle dispatch for an on-demand business?

AI can suggest which provider should take each job from distance, skills, workload and past arrival times, and dispatchers accept or change the suggestion. We start with clear rules, then add AI once there is enough job history to compare against.

  • How do independent providers get paid?

Through the payment provider’s platform features, which verify each provider and send earnings to their bank account on a schedule. The admin dashboard shows fees and tips per job, so providers can check statements without calling your office.

  • Can the app connect to our existing POS or online store?

Often. Orders can come in from your POS or ecommerce platform through their APIs, and status updates can flow back. We confirm what each system exposes during discovery.
